My most recent work has been some of the most enjoyable work I have been able to do.
I work with local agencies on an as needed basis for web design work. One local partnership included Oxbow Labs. Oxbow Labs is a Colorado Springs Drupal Web Design Agency.
They approached me with the redesign of the Pikes Peak Humane Society website.
One of the major challenges of this project was that the Pikes Peak Humane Society had multiple locations that each had their own separate website. Each website had to maintain and follow existing brand guidelines and at the same time be different from each other.
Another challenge was making sure that each website was responsive so the design needed to make sense on multiple levels.
In the end we used the brand colors to distinguish between the sites and keeping layouts the same for usability and continuity throughout each site.
Pikes Peak YMCA of Colorado Springs had been a client of mine for a while when the approached me about redesigning their Camp Shady Brook Website.
Camp Shady Brook is a summer camp and retreat center for children and adults to experience the outdoors. The original site lacked life and fun and so that was one of the things we wanted to do with this site.
As a result of the success of Camp Shady I was asked to redesign their main website. I partnered with Oxbow Labs for the build of both sites so it was a smooth transition to get them up and running.
The main Pikes Peak YMCA site had many usability issues that needed to be figured out. Partnering with Winn and his team was great way to get some these ideas bounced off and together we created a site is usable, friendly and unlike any YMCA site out there.
